Collage
23" x 18"; (mounted in a box frame, 27" x 21")
Signed and dated in pencil in lower right.
This collage was made using pieces that I cut and shaped from paper strips in a small bag of handmade paper scraps that I had purchased at the farmers’ market in Martha’s Vineyard. The paper scraps were from the studio of Seastone Papers. In the tradition of collage, it includes other found papers and materials from my studio in Cambridge MA, which I cut, arranged and affixed to a poster board during the early months of the COVID pandemic. My hope was to bring some joy to our lives at this time of isolation from the people and places we care about.
